Ink and oil with gold leaf on wood panel, 8" x 8"
On a wood panel gilded in gold leaf, I drew the Treadwell church, a place that has served as a social and spiritual center for its community. It offers a light people return to—for prayer, hope, mercy, and shared humanity. This piece holds that sense of presence, the way a landmark becomes a gentle anchor for those who gather around it.
Ink with silver leaf on wood panel, 8" x 8"
This 8" × 8" original piece centers on a single farmhouse from Sidney Center, NY. I worked with ink and silver leaf on a wood panel, using the silver to create a cold, crisp edge that gives the house a strong, unmistakable presence. Its form and structure stand out with clarity. The farmhouse holds the memories and history of the farm family who lives there, and the stories it carries become the focus.
